Eberron: Rising from the Last War

This Eberron Rising from the Last War Review is to tell you all the great things about this book.

The number 1 question people ask about this book is: “Is it actually Eberron?”

In short, Yes, it very much is.

Overall Impression

The first section is a very neat welcome section about what to expect within the book. The welcome section introduces the book in a very Eberron fashion which just sells the book even more.

What’s included in this book:

  • 25 New Magic Items
  • 38 New NPCs/Monsters
  • 1 New Background “House Agent”
  • 1 New Class “Artificer”
  • 2 New Feats
  • A Group Patron System
  • An Extensive World overview
  • 4 New Races
  • 12 New “Dragonmark” racial options
  • An Adventure hook section

All of these exciting new additions add onto the enchantment that is Eberron…

So what this book does well is giving you a detailed idea about how Eberron operates and what the society is like. Making it ripe for adventure. What they do is their greatest downfall about this book some may say…

They leave it very open ended.

If you are looking for pre-built adventures, this book is not for you, in that sense.

If you are looking for a new and exciting place to give your own adventure stories a more steam punk vibe. Then get this book!

I cannot sing it’s praises anymore than that in that respect.

Conclusion

As mentioned before this book has a lot of great content and world built for you.

But, you have to build your own story in it. If that’s not for you this book isn’t for you.

If you love to create a story within then yes this book is perfect. I would skip over the adventure they put in there it only gets you to Lvl 2 but it might get your gears turning.
